改编自1993年百老汇音乐剧版，蜘蛛设定在1981年一座阿根廷监狱里，吻电洛佩兹出演标题人物——一名虚构出来的时候上映女子Aurora。用想象描绘这名女子的蜘蛛人是同性恋美发师Luis Molina(托纳蒂乌)，他因被指控猥亵未成年人而被判八年监禁。吻电为了逃避对坐牢的时候上映恐惧，Molina想象出了一个经典电影明星Aurora的蜘蛛形象和她出演的多部电影、角色，吻电包括一个用吻杀死捕猎对象的时候上映蜘蛛女。而随后，蜘蛛Molina的吻电人生被颠覆了——一名马克思主义者Valentin Arregui Paz(鲁纳)被安排在跟他同一间牢房，两人发展出了意想不到的时候上映联结。
